The HTMA (Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis) test is a simple, non-invasive test that analyzes your hair to assess mineral levels in your body. This gives us a clear picture of your long-term mineral balance, which is crucial for energy, digestion, skin health, and metabolism.
Energy: Mineral deficiencies, like magnesium, can drain your energy. The HTMA shows us exactly what minerals you're lacking so you're no longer clutching your 3rd cup of coffee just to make it through the afternoon.
Gut health: Minerals like zinc and sodium are vital for digestion. If you're dealing with bloating or constipation, the test helps identify and address those imbalances.
Weight loss: Your metabolism needs minerals to function properly - especially after periods of chronic stress or pregnancies. Mineral balance = a strong, balanced metabolism.
Skin Health: Minerals impact your skin—imbalances can cause acne, dryness, or premature aging. We can help support clearer, glowier skin by targeting deficiencies.
Traditional labs look for symptoms. Functional labs find root causes.
The science behind our foundational labs:
The GI Map is a stool test that analyzes your gut health by identifying potential imbalances in your microbiome. It gives us detailed insights into what's going on in your gut—everything from harmful bacteria to digestive function.
Digestion: The GI Map analyzes markers like gut inflammation, digestive enzyme function, and intestinal permeability (leaky gut). If you’re dealing with bloating, gas, or constipation, it helps pinpoint the root causes and shows us exactly what’s going wrong in your digestive system.
Skin Health: Imbalances in gut bacteria (like Candida or pathogenic bacteria) can lead to skin issues such as acne or eczema. The GI Map provides specific markers related to microbial imbalances, so we can target the right treatment to support clear, healthy skin.
Preconception Health & Hormones: A healthy gut is essential for hormonal balance and fertility. The GI Map looks at markers like short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs) and the balance of good vs. bad bacteria, which play a crucial role in regulating hormones, including estrogen and progesterone. If there are imbalances, this can affect menstrual cycles, ovulation, and even fertility. The GI Map helps us understand how your gut health is impacting your hormones, so we can make targeted changes to optimize your chances of conception.
Yes, the Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis is included in the cost of both programs (10 weeks and 6 month) as an addition to our focus on nutrition, lifestyle, and fitness. After running labs on thousands of women, we see the biggest and most sustainable shifts in the women who already have built a solid foundation of habits & lifestyle changes and are truly ready to take it to the next level with multiple labs and extensive protocols. The GI Map can be added on at cost ($360 USD) if you are interested in uncovering imbalances specific to the gut microbiome. Please keep in mind that a 12 week protocol is usually not long enough to work through drainage, mineral balancing, and gut healing, so adding the GI Map to the 10 week program should be done with discretion with this in mind.
You will have access to recipes and meal planning guides, and meal plans may be provided as a short-term support, which can be discussed between you and your Practitioner. However, we want to actually teach you what and how much to eat and what your body needs, and so our nutrition coaching goes deeper than throwing a meal plan your way and sending you on your way.
Absolutely. Because this is a 1:1 program, all fitness, lifestyle, and nutrition recommendations can and will be tailored to you, whether you are pregnant, breastfeeding, TTC, or none of the above.
Please keep in mind that gut rebalancing has many limitations during breastfeeding and pregnancy, and is not always recommended for this reason.
The 10 week program will include a protocol for drainage and minerals based on your HTMA results.
The 6 month program will include a protocol for drainage, minerals, and more in-depth gut protocols as we have more time working together to dig a little bit deeper.
If you start off in the 10 week program and want to extend to receive extended protocols, that is an option at any point.
You have the option to start with 10 weeks of support or 6 months of support. You may extend your program with us at any point in your journey regardless of which program you started off in.
what is the difference between the 10 week and 6 month program?
The 10 week program has been curated to be a kickstarter into your functional health journey. Even if (and especially if) you have worked with other functional practitioners in the past, we will be helping you build a solid foundation of health through simple nutrition, fitness, and lifestyle practices that ensure your results last beyond taking supplements - without it being an overwhelming or time-consuming process.
In the 6 month program, we dive deeper into your health through additional protocols and support.
There is no difference in level of care or support provided in either program; the main difference lies within the time frame that you are supported by the team (10 weeks vs 6 months)
